Hotel Mission Catavina
On a recent trip through Baja, I had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Mission Catavina on Highway 1 in the small town of Catavina, Baja California. It is located 118 km (74 mi) south of El Rosario and 106 km (66 mi) north of the junction with the road to Bahía de los Ángeles. The hotel has been refurbished by its new owners and is looking great. The restaurant is serving great food and drinks.
With traditional Mexican style, it was treat to spend the night, check out the architecture and have a good meal.
One of the courtyards with a fountain, spanish tiled roofs, arched openings and an interesting floor.
Carved and scorched wood doors with wrought iron accents.
Window seat and arched niche.
Wood window trim.
Concrete window trim.
Rooms are reasonably priced at about $90. They offer a discount if you have an FM2 or FM3. Pets are allowed with an extra fee. The Hotel Mission Catavina is a great hotel.
